1982
The Beginning
The company in early stages was formed as an agricultural firm by Late Shri Kundanmalji Jain Sb. in a small town Alote district Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh).
1992
Becoming Corporation
Establishment of Eagle seeds Development Corporation, with employee strength of 5 people, and only a rented godown near Indore. Started with supplying seeds to Government and public institutions.
1997
Brand Eagle & ERP Implementation
• Establishment of registered office at 801, Apollo Premier, Viajy Nagar, Indore, that has now become a fully computerized facility, along with successful ERP implementation.
• Started with marketing seeds with the name"Eagle" brand.
1999 2000
Kshipra plant started
Started operating at Kshipra plant, which has now got the area of around 15 acres, with in house facilities like Forklifts, Auto weigh bridges and processing units equipped with pre cleaners, fine cleaners, gravity separators etc. By this time, company was instrumental in bringing several innovations like reducing seed rate through better processing, packing soybean and wheat seeds in HDPE bags instead of jute bags which became an industry standard.
2002 2003
R&D Department Started
Establishment of an in-house R&D department, presently recognized by DSIR (Department of scientific and industrial research), Govt of India, backed by a team of qualified scientific and technical staff, who are working for different projects on varietal development. Around this time, company initiated sub-branding and launched X-lent™, which is one of the premium brands we have.
2010
Quality lab established
Started systematic quality control procedures followed by construction of quality lab in year 2010 spanning over an area of 5000 sq ft. We perform various tests to maintain quality as per international seed testing rules.
2014
Polyhouse Installed
Installation of Polyhouse at processing plant and R&D farm to conduct off season breeding and generation advancement, grow out tests etc.
2016
Integrated Seed Line with Optical Sorter Installed
Installation of an integrated seed line comprising of pre & fine cleaner, indent cylinder, pneumatically controlled gravity separator, spiral separator, destoner and Buhler A series Optical Sorter for sorting seeds. An optical sorter is highly effective in removing defects and foreign material, by detection through sophisticated cameras governed by high speed algorithms thus improving the physical quality of seeds to a great extent. Eagle Seeds is one of the first companies to commission an integrated seed plant with an optical sorter.
