Late Shri R.K. Jain, founder of Eagle Seeds and Biotech Ltd. is referred to as "Father of the seed industry". It was his vision that drove the company's progress in such a short span of time. Born in Alote (a small town in Madhya Pradesh) and the youngest of all siblings, he had keen interest in agriculture, which led him to do higher studies in the same field. He graduated from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in the year 1976 and founded Eagle seeds in the year 1982 in Indore. He was conferred the prestigious Udyog Ratna Award in the year 2002 by the government of India.

He revolutionized the seed industry by his futuristic vision and focus. Inspired by Osho, he was extremely spiritual, art loving and family oriented.
